Sign to stop the destruction of Chinese churches!

On April 28, 2014, the 4,000-seat Sanjiang Church was demolished in the city of Wenzhou in Zhejiang Province in China.  The church was only built one year prior to its destruction and damages amounted to approximately $4.8 million USD, much of which was paid for by local residents.  Unfortunately, this is only a small fraction of the damage caused by the 60+ government-ordered church closures in Zhejiang Province since January.

Many of these demolitions and closures are illegally carried out by police, armed SWAT teams and unidentified individuals for the purposes of “removing or modifying illegal constructions.”  However, the blatantly illegal violation of procedure and hostile manner in which the buildings are destroyed demonstrate a clear targeting of Christian churches.

ICC is calling on the Chinese Ambassador and his government to immediately stop closing and destroying churches in Zhejiang Province in an effort to curb the spread of Christianity. Fight in defense of our Chinese brothers and sisters in Christ: sign Persecution.org's petition to Stop the Demolition of Chinese Churches by completing the form in the top-right corner of this page!
